Presentation Guidelines

(The term “papers” is used to include formal research papers, PowerPoint presentations, Case Studies, Short Film with Presenter Narration, etc.)

  1. Twenty-minutes are programmed to present a paper (presentation in English). A ten-minute discussion will follow each presentation. If your presentation requires a different format, please indicate such requirements at the time of submission.
  2. A manuscript or technical PowerPoint® presentation will be required for each paper selected. Manuscripts should be provided by email in Power Point and PDF format. Copyright of papers and presentations belongs to WSO (World Submarine Organization).
  3. All presentations will be loaded on a PC computer at the conference. Presenters can provide their presentation material via email or via USB drives. If you bring your own computer, the connection can be pre-tested. Ensure you have access to an HDMI-compatible port on the computer. Note: Remember that embedded video in PowerPoint can often fail to run when the presentation is transferred to another computer.
  4. If you are presenting on an Apple computer, please ensure you have an HDMI compatible port or adapter.
  5. The papers and/or pdf versions of the presentations will be included in the 2025 WSO Proceedings. You can remove sensitive slides in the PowerPoint presentation for the final PDF proceedings version. Final versions will be collected at the conference.
